 Tony studied at University College, Swansea and obtained an Honours Degree in Geography in 1971.
He then joined Allan Charlesworth in London, which through several mergers became Hays Allan (now Hays MacIntyre). Tony concentrated on audit, qualifying in 1976, being promoted to audit manager having worked on a number of prestige clients, including Harrods Limited, The Ritz, BMW Concessionaires and Lombard North Central.
In 1980 he joined Dennis R. Edwards in Oswestry, becoming a partner in 1982 and senior partner in 1994 when Dennis Edwards retired.
Tony now considers himself a general practitioner assisting family owner-managed businesses to grow and succeed in the most tax efficient way. Apart from being senior partner, Tony also looks after the investment business of the firm, having pushed himself in 2002 to qualify as an FPC of the Institute of Insurance.
Tony is also the audit partner for a number of large companies including the firm's largest audit of nearly £100 million turnover.
Finally, Tony has been instrumental in guiding the firm from being a sole practitioner in Oswestry to a multi-office provincial firm of around 50 staff and partners, with around 2,000 clients.
